Gromit

Gromit is my all-purpose machine for both test and production environments. The CPU was chosen for its high single-threaded performance, which is ideal for running game servers such as Minecraft.

Gromit

The current hardware is as follows:

  • i5-7600K
  • 16 GB
  • GTX 960 for transcoding
  • NVMe boot drive
  • 7 mismatched drives:
    • 5 for network share (4.2 TB)
    • 4 TB backup
    • 4 TB parity

The majority of services are containerised, and serve only a few users. Services include:

  • Samba
  • Jellyfin
  • Authentik
  • Immich
  • Vaultwarden
  • Game servers

Victor

Victor is a future Proxmox machine, built on a dual-X99 platform. I intend it to host pretty much every service besides game hosting, which would benefit from Gromit’s better single-threaded performance. The drive pool will also be moved to this machine.

Victor

Planned hardware is as follows:

  • 2x Xeon E5-2680v4
  • 32 GB RAM

Preston

Preston is currently out of action, but was built to be a openSense router. It’s a hunk of junk with a watercooled i3-6100 and open frame case.
